One thing about sleep apnea is that they are caused by blockages to the airways of a person. For some, it may all boil down to inflamed tonsils to which you may want to have them checked out. Tonsils are known to be something that are normal to be taken out if people would prefer. [...] Read Original Post Here

As crazy as this might sound, there might be some truth to the recently discovered phenomenon of “sleep-texting.”
You heard that right: texting people with a cell phone while you’re asleep!
I read about this strange story online, and apparently, a Texan newspaper wrote about it last month. In its coverage, a 24-year-old woman claimed to have texted her boyfriend while asleep, and discovered what she’d done only once she’d awakened. Another fellow wrote about it on his blog, so clearly this must be happening to more than just a few people. (Sorry, I can’t say I’ve had this experience myself.)
The question is, does sleep-texting really happen when you’re asleep? Or is it something that happens quickly during a moment of wakefulness in the night and then you forget about it the next morning?
No one really knows. It’s entirely possible to perform a small action in the night during a few short minutes of wakefulness that you cannot recall the next day, but it may also be possible to perform an action that’s so ingrained in your brain and habits that it’s like driving on “autopilot.” Today’s younger generation is so constantly attached to their mobile devices (I think kids win hands down for how fast they can type on a smart phone) that working those cell phones and texting are second nature. It’s an addiction unlike any other.
It’s weird to think you can send a message in the middle of the night that you won’t remember doing the next day. You just might find yourself in a situation where you actually do send a text you’d self-censor during the daylight hours.
I’ve said in the past that bedrooms should be a cell-phone free zone. They don’t harmonize with the setting for restful sleep. And what if that phone rings back with a text from the person who receives your midnight message?
I say, put those cell phones to bed–in another room. Give it a rest. Your sleep will thank you.

Sleeping alone isn’t much of a problem but once you get married or begin having sleeping beside you, it is not always a bed of roses. While you long to have that special someone to sleep with, once proper sleeping positions or habits may not always be easy to understand.
Once this happens, people can always turn to compromises so that they don’t end up cursing each other or even sleeping separately. Actually sleeping in separate beds or rooms is a common practice to get good sleep. But if a compromise or even help for such would be a good way to resolve the issue. It all depends on how willing couples are so they can both get proper sleep.

When we are dozing off or asleep, we could care less of what would happen. But for some women, the need to address various issues such as maintaining beauty while sleeping at the same time may be a point for consideration. In these instances, applications of lotions or beauty products is common and here is something from celebrity make-up artist Ramy Gafni that may become an instant hit for people who put value while they are sleeping.
The product is called “Sleep in Beauty”, a tinted and healthy moisturizer that will keep your skin beautiful all through the night.

Sleep number beds have so far been tagged as the best way to get sleep. But the problem is that people may not be that willing to buy them just yet unless they get to prove to themselves that they are good for it. With that in mind, how can anyone measure the degree of comfort they can offer?
Well take it from this couple. The long for the quality sleep just like most but they did not buy the Sleep Number Bed initially. Posh hotels such as the Plaza Hotel offer such beds and while it may be a limited stay, it is more than enough to help you in evaluating if it is indeed worth the investment. It is amazing how one button can make the difference in getting quality sleep from a quality bed.

Luckily, a breakthrough mattress on the market this week promises the ultimate personalized sleep experience. And believe me - when it comes to comfort, this bed is king.
Six inches of air chambers make up the heart of the mattress, while a 3-inch top layer of slow-response memory foam cradles your body and soothes pressure points.
Best of all, with the push of a button, a Firmness Control System adjusts the firmness on each side of the bed on a scale of 0 (feather soft) to 100 (firmest of all).
The Sleep Number bed’s price tag is pretty steep (starting at $3,200), but it’s the ultimate personalized sleep experience. The air chamber technology adjusts the firmness on each side of the mattress to meet day-to-day changes in your body.

People who get incomplete sleep for one reason or another are likely to become cranky at times and others can only try to understand and get along with them for the meantime. Quality sleeps is essential to setting the tone and mood for most people today. Logically, how can a person relate or even get along with others if he alone cannot understand himself?

Such is a common thing we see for the people who lack sleep. Aside from being drained, their emotions are surely something that will be tender and picky. But once they do get their proper respite and sleep to make up for their lacking sleep endeavors, you will be surprised at the immediate change in mood and character. Who can blame them? Once you are rejuvenated you are bound to feel like a million bucks!
Dr Nilesh Dave, medical director of the Sleep and Breathing Disorders Centre at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre, says: “When you get good-quality sleep and enough hours of it, it is amazing how much better patients’ moods are, how much better they’re functioning. They’re truly happy.”

When it comes to sleep, we hardly want to be active so that we can relax and perhaps be lulled to sleep. But the thing is, we do not sleep 24 hours a day. Now that would be really lazy and we may even get a headache in the process.

Exercise is something good for the heart and is associated and getting great sleep. Routine exercise such as yoga or tai chi can be helpful to our bodies as far as making sure our blood flow is better. But for some people, particularly the elderly, our body metabolism is likewise important. As we age, it slows down and in the process we may find ourselves becoming idle and even reach the point of unhealthy.
Exercise regularly and you may finally get that great sleep. It doesn’t have to be hectic. Just make sure your body can have a proper circulation since in the end, your health may be relying a lot on it.

We all know that thinking too much may eventually result into sleepless nights. At the rate that everything is going up these days, the only thing that perhaps is remaining is to see our salaries and daily pay go up. Now that is something to ponder on. But while we can wait all we want, thinking and even dreaming of when that would be, sleeping better is the least thing we can do.
Another thing that contributes to the growing number of insomniacs is that more people are now trying to get a second job. There is the traditional 8 to 5 job and hence getting another one will surely penetrate our required number of sleep. So if you get a second job for income, chances are you may not be close to the usual 8 hours of sleep.
With coffee to keep you awake, you may say it is a temporary setup. But once you finally get your back to normal (assuming inflation is out), your next step would be to see a specialist. Now you have to address you sleep problem and likewise get yourself sleeping back to normal.
It seems all these things will never cease. You just have to address them one step at a time.

Based on reports, the TransMedia Group aims to kick thing off by a news release on July 21.
“We’re looking for TransMedia to get our product known and into the right hands, so that [consumers] can relate to the product and know the company,” said Paul Mitchell, president and COO of MedGen. “What we’re trying to do is tie the PR end of the business into advertising, prior to our ads running.”
