Sleeping problems are known to come from different origins. Sleep issues such as sleep apnea and insomnia are no laughing matter. While we all hear about their terminologies from word of mouth or tabloids, it will all boil down to a point where sleep disorder patients will look on to the specialists for help.
Such has been the aim and purpose for existence by Advance Sleep Lab in Los Angeles. Taking on the call for more attention to sleep problem issues today, this advanced lab aims to accommodate the growing number of people who have been suffering from different kinds of sleep-related disorders.

For people who do not have access to the Internet, dropping by the nearest Internet café shop is the best alternative they can get. But in Japan, there is an added twist…Café’s are becoming hotels or temporary homes for people who have no real place to live or sleep. These people have been tagged as Net Café Refugees.
This is not to say that people are checking in and out often. There are just a lot of factors such as safety in the streets at night when they are through checking the web. Some work over the web and Internet access is a need. Perhaps this is their cycle; work at the nearest café and pay for the connection used, take a nap and back to work. Now isn’t that something?
“In its first ever study of a growing group dubbed “Net cafe refugees” by local media, the Health Ministry estimated that some 5,400 people live at least half the week at the 24-hour cafes because they have no permanent home.”

Call it enthusiasm and excitement whenever a yuppie would get his hands on the latest gizmos or gadgets such as an iPod or a Wii. Sleep will surely be foregone since the important thing above all is to explore extensively these gadgets until they get the hang of it.Hence, “Junk Sleep” is the product of such foregone sleeping patterns. Instead of getting the required 8 hours of sleep, kids ranging between 12 to 16 would usually make do with 4 to 7 hours of sleep, way beyond the necessary respite that bodies and brains would need. The result is of course obvious. Lack of sleep means waking up groggy and having to combine the senses and make sure that they still have sanity and awareness when they are awake.
The Edinburgh Sleep Centre’s Dr Chris Idzikowski warned: “This is an incredibly worrying trend. What we are seeing is the emergence of ‘Junk Sleep’ - that is sleep that is of neither the length nor quality that it should be in order to feed the brain with the rest it needs.

First, we use 100% recycled steel for the springs and more than 75% of all the mattresses are made from recycled or recycle-able materials. Cool huh?
Another way we plan to cut the carbon footprint is by having all these mattressed compressed into a box. We invented a new way of compressing the spring coils at the factory so it fits in a box.

Remember the 9/11 issue where the whole mind-boggling issue of how the terrorists were able to carry out their plot of terrorism succeeded without being initially foreseen? Well, for one thing, we are all aware of tight security measures in the form of detectors and surveillance cameras are placed in most airports and buildings. But all of these are useless if you are sleeping on the job.
Such is the controversy that is now surrounding further investigations on the level of security measures that countries are implementing in their local airports. The two messengers of destruction were rumored to be seen even before the entire thing happened.
But thanks to some sleepy CIA guys, the result was the claiming of lives and overall destruction to a powerful country that was a picture of vulnerability. All it took was a split second and perhaps the 9/11 issue would have not happened at all.

One thing about going back to school, it is hard to recondition the minds of kids that vacation time over. This of course means that there is no more sleeping late nights or waking up late in the morning. Vacation time is the ringing bell to the ears of most students and once they have to go back to hear it again, this time around it will be most likely during breaks or after another hard day in school.
When kids go home, most of them would hit the sack early or get some short sleeping spells. But then again, they have to condition themselves once more since they have to do homework or review their stuff.
So in all, everything seems very stressful. The primary stages of adjustments will always be hard on the kids for the first few weeks of classes and to get them back to the groove once again, parents or guardians may do well to try and condition them some weeks before classes do start.
